Volunteer Coach

We are recruiting for coaches/assistant coaches with your player registration.

u11, u13, u15, and HS u18 coaches are required 1-2 nights per week for practice, and Saturday for a CMBA league game. The u11, u13, u15 season runs from September through March. The HS u18 season is split into two seasons: September to November, and January to March.

Head/Assistant Coaching Commitment

• One to Two practices per week (Sept to Mar)
• One game per week - (Oct to Mar)
• Potential additional Team Skill Sessions (Sept/Oct)
• Complete CMBA Coaching Clinic (Sept/Oct)

Without volunteer coaches, there is no community basketball!

 

Safety Policy - In lieu of police checks, NCBC has a mandatory 2 adult policy at all times with athletes. This 2 adult policy (Rule of Two) is in place to protect athletes, coaches and volunteers.  Of these 2 adults one must be of the same gender of the athletes, (ie. u13 boys team being coached by a female must have a male parent or assistant coach in the gym, bench, etc as the second adult).  This includes all games, practices, team meetings and any team related activities.  As members it is your responsibility that you volunteer where required to meet this requirement. This is a mandatory policy, we need members to ensure the adults in the gym when dropping off your child, this means you need to walk into the gym to ensure there are 2 adults in the gym or the team is not allowed to practice, or play, etc.  With that we insist that you pick up your athlete on time from practices, and games.
